This card is to accompany a helicopter ride voucher for a very special birthday. Every little boy’s dream I should think (and plenty of grown-ups’ too!)
It’s stamped with Up in the Air in black on white and then fussy cut and mounted with dimensionals over a “sky” blue background. Apologies for the dim picture – I had to take it in the evening.

This card is entered for The Male Room challenge of Black, White and one more colour – in this case, sky blue 🙂

Seize the sky, my friend
Take the adventure to heart
You’re surely worth it

There are a few blues in colour challenges at the moment, so bluebirds are still on my mind…
This is a birthday bluebird sitting in the pink blossoms. I’ve tried out a few new techniques for me – spattering the background, new L’Aquarelle stamps watercoloured and cut out and pieced together.

These are as close as I could get with my watercolours to the colours at Just Add Ink 352

The haiku ofr this one
A bluebird trilling
joyful in the tree above.
Happiness floods me

For a friend who is a Francophile:

Entering in Fusion challenge Paris Rain – inspired by the image of course!

And a haiku based on our honeymoon experience many years ago…
Remember Paris?
Such rain, the Seine overflowed
Cosy honeymoon!

Can you tell I’ve had a day off today? Including some crafty purchases and some playing with ink and paint and paper…
Here is a card for someone who is expecting a new baby in a couple of weeks. Just time to get people to sign it 🙂 The first time in ages I’ve used patterned paper: I have SOOO much of it (just managed to resist buying more today)!

This one was inspired by Jenni’s card at Muse Challenge #208

and also entered in The Paper Players Clean and simple baby cards – just under the wire…
