Mickey:

Soon found out why Brad disappeared so quick. It were the two coppers he'd seen right outside.

The black bint and the bearded chap were in the same pub and they came out yelling "stop them!"

That were it. I legged it as fast as possible down the path by the river.

This lanky copper were right behind me. I were faster than him though. It were only that path that got me — where the bank had slid into the river a bit and the path were dangerous. Council should've done something about that. There I were, trying to run, and I just went slipping and sliding down the bank into this bloody great patch of mud by the water's edge. So much for hundred dollar jeans! I don't think anyone would've given ten pence for 'em by the time they'd got caked in mud 'n' spent a night in the cells getting stiffer 'n' stiffer.

I'm going to sue the police for those jeans. Cost me all my lottery winnings, they did.

The End
