I was walking behind with Sarah.

Claire and Jake were a bit ahead of us. They were arguing about whether the Sex Pistols should have staged a come-back. Jake thought they were desperately trying to cash in as middle-age came upon them and the music business moved on.

This crowd of lads were coming the other way, and one of them seemed to fall against Claire.

Well Jake pulled her away. He didn't want trouble of any kind. But the lad just seemed to be spoiling for a fight. He grabbed at Claire again, I think, and Jake said "Not on your life."

Then one of the others took a swing at Jake.
