I have been searching for oneness.
I have worshipped at the feet of gurus, sufis, hermits and preachers.
I have attended church, mosque,
temple and sanctuary.
I have received blessings from priests, druids, holy virgins and elders.
 I hold a vast and eclectic collection
of holy writings, sacred texts,
scriptures and psalters.

But now I stand, terrified,
surrounded by amulets and charms, talismans and pentacles.
I have searched deep within myself with prayer and meditation
and I have found myself...
