The Power of Words

This is a real experiment. Rather than having the haiku accompany or be inside of the card, I thought I’d make it the focal point. So this is all doodle script…

live a lively life

I took my challenge from the Words have Power/take Centre Stage at AAA cards (CAS Game #93)

I also realised that as a haiku has three lines, that the sketch #228 at CAS(E) This Sketch would be perfect for this purpose, so I used that 🙂

In case you can’t read the haiku, here it is – aimed at every busy person!

Live a lively life:
Let difficulties pass by.
Go follow your dreams.

I will probably try this again, and hopefully my skill will improve!

Love is a fruit in season

This card is for my sister. Just because 🙂

Uniko Originally Organic stamp (new to me, so fun to try out) and printed sentiment. It’s coloured with my watercolour pens: though the choice for magenta wasn’t brilliant, either too pink or too purple. This was nearest.

love is a fruit

I love the quote from Mother Teresa:

“Love is a fruit in season at all times and within reach of every hand.”

This is for CASOLOGY #246 SEASON

and Color Throwdown ctd440 magenta, yellow and green.

The haiku:

Whatever the time
Or season of year, turning
You mean much to me.

An Irish Toast

This stamp is an old one but NBUS, so I was delighted to bring it out for the challenge at CASology: Week #229 TOAST. There’s plenty of Irish ancestry in my genes…

I think it’s most suitable for good wishes on an engagement or wedding, or perhaps a pregnancy – a good new beginnings card at any rate.

an Irish toast
My wish for today:
May your cup overflow with
health and happiness

Also entered for Time Out’s New Beginnings Inspired by Words Challenge: ‘With each sunrise we are given a chance for a new beginning’

Sounds a bit like an Irish blessing in itself…

Printable e e cummings quote for Teen Girl cards!

I’m always looking for ideas for teenage girl cards as I have 5 teen nieces and a tween.

This is not a haiku, but a quote from e e cummings

e e cummings quote on being yourself

“To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you like everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting”  (e e cummings)
