Baby boy

Well, I needed a baby boy card, and the Fusion inspiration picture made me think about letters…  Not pink like the Fusion pic though, but, of course, blue!

This stamp was attached to a mag I bought the other week. I thought it was perfect for a baby boy. The carriage was too small to fit the name in, so I did a bit of masking to make it twice the size.  Added the letters and the frame by hand to match: coloured with watercolour pencils.

Apologies for the terrible photography. I’ve barely had any time at all. I work in a University and this is the busiest time of year for me… Phew!  Work, eat, sleep is about it…

Entered for the Fusion challenge this week.

Your sweet little face

Welcome, little one!

New Beginnings

I love to make cards for new babies – such a happy occasion! The last one was a girl, but this is for a (male) colleague whose partner has had a lovely baby boy.  I kept it simple with my favourite baby-related image from Uniko (Some Bunny), The sentiment is from Uniko as well, and the background is watercoloured.

This one is entered into two challenges:

The haiku for this one:

Little fingers grasp
My old hand, tightly holding
out promise of hope

Can you tell I’ve had a day off today? Including some crafty purchases and some playing with ink and paint and paper…

Here is a card for someone who is expecting a new baby in a couple of weeks. Just time to get people to sign it 🙂  The first time in ages I’ve used patterned paper: I have SOOO much of it (just managed to resist buying more today)!

This one was inspired by Jenni’s card at  Muse Challenge #208

and also entered in The Paper Players Clean and simple baby cards – just under the wire…
