Daffodil scatter & recent challenge honours

I ordered the daffodil stamp from Uniko as soon as it came out this month, and have been happily playing.  Here it is used for the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge that ends today.

Here is the sketch I worked with at  CAS(E) this Sketch #261. No sentiment: it doesn’t seem to need one… I was going to add more colours, but they just seemed too much…

Also entered for the Paper Players Spring themed challenge PP383

Recent challenge honours

I was delighted that a few of my cards have won modest honours in challenges recently.

My Zendoodle Teapot was an Honourable Mention at The Card Concept #87 {Freshly Brewed}

Lightbulb Moment Rocked the Watercooler in Watercooler Wednesday‘s Masculine Anything Goes challenge.

Coffee and a Book was a Favourite in the Mailbox for Donna & Wendi in Cards in Envy’s Tuxedo Challenge last month.

It’s fun doing challenges, and being inspired by the challenge, the design teams and the other contributors 🙂  It’s even more fun when you get mentioned! Thanks so much for picking my cards: it’s really encouraging.

HAIKU

My haiku today isn’t about the card. It’s about why I currently have time to make cards!

    Daffodils are such classic spring flowers so are a great choice for the challenge. I like the contrast between the bright yellow and black – it’s very striking. The enamel dots are well placed to lead the eye and echo the colours of the main image. Thanks so much for joining us at The Paper Players this week.

    Sweet, simple and oh so lovely! I love yellow and black together and the combination looks great with your daffodil. Thanks so much for sharing with us at The Paper Players, Helen!
