Teal sailboat

There’s a gent I know who loves sailing so every year is a different nautical or maritime card.

Here is this year’s. I had a very clear idea of what I wanted to do, but it turned out rather differently in the end 🙂

It’s a watercoloured background with a sailboat stamp  (Sheena Douglas) and a sentiment stamp (from a magazine), plus gems 🙂

Entered in Freshly Made Sketches # 322 FMS322 (though the middle panel became less rectangular because it worked so much better to fussy cut the sailboat).

Watercooler Wednesday #155 Anything Goes

Simply Create Too: Favourite Colour combo (I love any combination of aquas, teals, turquoises and blues!)

and Addicted to CAS #129 which is asking for Teal (hurrah)!

Even in your head
you can sail away to new

Helen, this sail boat card will be just perfect for your sailing male friend. I absolutely love the teal background and how it works its way into those choppy waves. The beads are a nice touch and I really like the contrast of the black and white sale boat. Thanks so much for joining us at the Watercooler Wednesday “Anything Goes” challenge this week.

Hi Helen, what a wonderful watercoloured background you’ve created. Love the teals and blues and the movement of it. The fussy cut sailboat is perfect, especially for someone whose love is sailing. Great idea to add those gems. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
