Mr and Mrs

My final post for the day – a wedding card for friends later in the year. It was the first thing I thought of when looking at the Card Concept image – it looks like the kind of room a bride would prepare in…

The gold doesn’t show up very well, but it is in the colours from Color Throwdown this week: gold, light pink, navy and white.

Die cut and gold painted ampersand, elegant coloured cardstock and a bit of bling.

This Clean and Graphic card is entered in The Card Concept #74 {Freshly Elegant} Challenge

and

also Color Throwdown #445

Here is a haiku:

Pretty in pink
but tough as blue steel beneath
Nothing fluffy here!

Medic Graduation

Here’s a card to congratulate a very important young person on completing their first year as a junior doctor 🙂  It would do nicely for a medic’s graduation from University as well.

Sentiment from Uniko, stethoscope fussy cut and coloured (the medic’s favourite colour), and the trace is a real one (mine: happily nothing wrong with it) – call it a found item!

I had to do this one when I saw CASOLOGY’s theme for this week: Medicine

as well as Addicted to CAS Graduation.

And the haiku:

You have worked so hard
To deserve your great succcess
Now licensed to heal

June Birthday

This card is for my other half who has a birthday soon. Soppy, yes, but he deserves it!

June birthday

This is firstly a CASE of one of Ardyth’s cards for Muse #218 this week (Happy Birthday Ardyth!). (Ardyth’s was itself inspired by a card by Donna3D on Splitcoast Stampers but I didn’t look at that one.)

I kept Ardyth’s rainbow smooshing (though mine is paint rather than ink), heart die cut (and added another heart cut layer).

I changed the floral stamp, as I thought swirls were more appropriate for a male card. I added another layer for the sentiment, for interest, as I didn’t have the grey background layer.

I’m also entering this one into The Male Room Die Cut Challenge #61 – Stash.

and Watercooler Wednesday’s WWC121 – Anything Goes  challenge

And the haiku for this one:

Have a happy day:
Your support lights me like sun
Above the clouds. Thanks!
