Our seminar at the Education Show, Birmingham, 1st March
I will be giving a seminar at the Education Show in Birmingham on Saturday 1st March 2008. It’s about our 10-year-old project for young writers and their parents, teachers and librarians: Kids on the Net
If you’re a teacher, educator or exhibitor, and you’re coming to the show why not come along and say hi? Let us know if you would like more details for the show.
The seminar is entitled Making the most of the National Year of Reading: Let their voices take wing: ten years of supporting children’s writing online with Kids on the Net
Date: 01 Mar 2008
Kids on the Net (http://www.kidsonthenet.com) is a free online literacy resource this year celebrating 10 years of publishing children’s writing on the web. Children at school, at home and elsewhere take part in a variety of exciting online projects and discussions, as well as submitting their own pieces of creative writing, both traditional (poems, stories and other writing), and more innovative digital formats. Our latest projects, developed as part of our tenth birthday celebrations have been created to meet the needs of the literacy classroom while engaging and inspiring children’s imaginations. Our inspiring young writers show how to join in.
